Divisions & Standards
Rx division WODs will be attainable for most intermediate level athletes, we are programming WODs that require strategy and not just brute force strength and endurance. Using this concept they will not only be attainable for most intermediate level athletes that meet the movement requirements but will also be challenging for the most advanced athletes participating.
Scaled division will be open to all levels of athlete. The movements will be basic movements that can be done by all levels with little to no scaling. The WODs will be designed to make this all levels division competitive and fun.
As always we love to acknowledge our masters athletes. We will be trying out a separated division for Masters this year. This division will be for athletes that are 40 years of age or older as of January 1 and use the same workouts, weights and formats as the Rx/Scaled Division. Masters athletes MAY register either as a Masters or Normal Rx/Scaled Division if so desired.
The Bullet Point Open will be comprised of four events that will test a variety of areas of fitness. The events can be made up of any of the following workout types. The workouts will be announced a week in advance and scores must be submitted and approved prior to the following Sunday at midnight.
This workout will test the athletes fitness in a short time domain, the workout will be quick (less that 5 minutes) and can involve conditioning, body weight or light to moderate weighted movements. The score will be recorded in either time it took to finish or reps completed within the time domain.
This workout will test the athletes strength with weighted movements in a potentially nontraditional way. In the allotted time an athlete will perform strength movements where the score will be based on the amount of weight lifted.
This workout will test the athletes fitness in a longer time domain, the workout can involve conditioning, body weight or light to moderate weighted movements. The score will be recorded in either time it took to finish or reps completed within the time domain.
The final workout type we affectionately call “The Hopper”. This event is just what the name implies, completely random. Time domain, rep scheme, format, movements and weights will all variable.
